Obituary of Frank Zalesak
ZALESAK, Frank Carl - It is with broken hearts that the family of Frank Carl Zalesak announces his sudden passing on Friday, December 20, 2019 at the age of 80. Frank was born on September 21, 1939 to his parents Jan and Maria Zalesak. Beloved husband of Marta Kamila (Chrapko) for 55 years. Cherished father of George Zalesak and Cathy Fabbri (Pete) and adored by his grandchildren Rachael (Brandon), Sarah and Jacob. Loving brother of Marka (Karol), Elka (Jozef), and Magda (Alfonz). The family dog, Beckham, will also miss him. Frank was married to the love of his life, Marta Kamila Zalesak on September 26, 1964 in Slovakia. They later immigrated to Sarnia, ON February 1st 1968. Frank worked as a painter and helped in the construction and development of Twin Lakes subdivision. He later secured a position at Imperial Oil for 22 years where he was a dedicated and hardworking employee. Frank retired in 1998 to enjoy taking care of his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy. Frank enjoyed hosting parties around his pool with his family and friends, and was heavily involved with Our Lady of Sorrows Slovak Catholic Church, before its closing. As per Frank’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Church (Bright’s Grove) on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 11 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 519-344-3131.
