Obituary of Charles Malcolm Goodhew

GOODHEW, Charles Malcolm – Charles died at Trillium Villa on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at the age of 94. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (Betty) Goodhew (O’Shea). Dear father of Gary Goodhew and his wife Helen, Sarnia. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews who gave him much joy and happiness. Predeceased by parents Charles & Alice Goodhew and sister Joyce Goodhew. Charles retired from Fiberglas in 1987. He served in Burma with the R.A.F. during W.W.II and was a member of the 403 Wing for over 50 years. Charles & Betty managed Murlake Lanes (Lakeshore Bowling Alley circa late 60’s) and he had a real passion and love of aviation. He enjoyed fishing under the bridge and had a fascination for watching the lake freighters sail by. Charles’ family would like to thank the staff of Fiddick’s Nursing Home and Trillium Villa for the excellent and compassionate care given to him. Charlie made many, many friends at both locations and they made his days wonderful. Visitation at McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N.
