Obituary of Angelina Lopetrone

LOPETRONE Angelina, “Angela”  (Mancusi)

October 25, 1948 – September 21, 2019

On September 21, 2019 at Bluewater Health Palliative Care Unit, with her loving family by her side, after a strong and courageous fight, Angelina “Angela” Lopetrone went to be with her Lord.  Angela will be deeply missed by the love of her life and devoted husband Giuseppe “Joe”, her son Salvatore “Sal” and his wife Sara; daughter Teresa and her husband James Bennett.  Angela will be missed by her cherished grandchildren, Luca, Mateo & Nico Lopetrone and Surrey & Rowan Bennett. They will never forget their days at Nonna’s filled with cuddles, Nonna cake, pasta, meatballs and ice cream.  Everyone kept warm with their customized Nonna hats. They will miss their Nonna, but know they were all her favorites! Angela is survived by her twin brother Giuseppe “Joe” and wife Rosa Mancusi. Cherished nephews, Tony, Marco, and Robbie, and their families, their children loved the special treats at Zia Angela’s!  Sister Felice “Filo” and her late husband Agostino Tallarico, treasured niece and nephew Rina and Tommaso, Italy.  Sister Maria and husband Gennaro Sacco, niece Caterina and nephew Cesare, Italy.  Brother Pasquale and wife Gloria Mancusi, niece Maria Luisa and nephew Tony, Italy.  Brother Michele and wife Felice Mancusi, nephew Anthony and nieces Mary & Caterina. Brother in-law Joe and late wife Angela Federico, nieces Cathy & Gina, nephews Salvatore & Marcello.  Sister in-law Antonietta and husband Lou Mele, nephew Gian and niece Laura. Sister-in law Caterina and husband Tony Savo, nephews Vince & Franco, niece Lisa. Sister-in law Franca and husband Chris Januszkiewicz, nephew Stephen & the late Kayla. Predeceased by her parents Antonio & Maria Mancusi and her parents-in-law Teresa & Salvatore Lopetrone. Angela was so blessed with many loving and supportive extended family members and friends in Canada, Italy and France who will greatly miss her love and affection.  Angela loved visiting with her family and friends and catching up in person or by phone. Over the last two years, Angela faced her journey with strength and positivity, she never shared her pain and suffering with us, “I’m ok” she would say with a smile, encouraging us and making sure everyone was always welcome regardless of how she was feeling. Even in her final hours she was making sure others were being cared for.  Angela lead her life with love and passion, she enjoyed her family more than anything.  Angela is now our family “Angel” – we know she is watching over us. Her strong faith, optimism and love for family, unity and joy remained until her last moments. Visitation at McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N.
