I feel deeply indebted to Harry and his ability to assess situations and act accordingly. At the time of immigration court Harry drove from Sarnia even though he had several obligations with his family, he came to my hearing. At that time I had exhausted all legal means, had no further options to remain in Canada as a refugee. He convinced the court to accept my application to remain here and apply to become a landed immigrant. Harry is forever in my heart, as I now live in my adopted country.

Sincere condolences to Anne and your family. Harry was a lovely man - kind and gracious. We enjoyed your company at Wine Club at SGCC - especially the evening you both invited me to join you when Dan was away. I know Harry will be greatly missed by all. Thinking of you and sending our prayers. Dan and Lyn Tighe

Barbara & I would like to express our deepest condolences to all of you. Harry was highly respected by all who knew him. His kind, gentle manner was a testimony of his faith and love for others. Working with Harry at Nova Chemicals and knowing him as a true friend for many years. Roxanne and his boys were the pride and joy of his life. Sharing over a glass of his wine collection, Harry would share up dates of his prize possessions; his family.
Our family will hold Harry in our memories with honour and respect.
Farewell to a fine gentleman that will be in our hearts forever.
Our prayers and blessings flow to family and friends.

As you become older you realize how few real friends you can have in a lifetime. Harry was one of those friends, to me.
We met through work at Polysar and somehow formed a bond that lasted for more than 40 years. We didn’t spend a lot of time together but because of the “connection” we kept in touch over the years. Our friendship was based on that mutual special respect and admiration. When I left Polysar, my work took me to many different work locations. When I faltered with keeping in touch, I would get the occasional call from Harry usually around Christmas. He always wanted to know how I was doing and if the family was okay.
Roxanne was a classy, gracious woman who together with Harry, opened their home and hearts to us as new struggling residents in town. When on a visit to Sarnia, we learnt of her condition and they were always in our heart. They will always be in our hearts.
It is my hope that Ann, the “boys” and grands, hold on to the special memories and find comfort and inspiration for the rest of their lives.
Harry was a man of vision and vitality with a keen sense of duty and fairness. He was the best manager with whom I have ever worked. Rest in peace my friend!

If you had the honour of knowing Harry, then I believe you knew the most analytical mind. I am one of the twins who grew up at Sochan Wildin Cottages. My mom, Karen was the manager for over 30 years. Although I have never seen him with a puzzle book, he figured out puzzles like “Would it be economical to buy a heat pump for my furnace?” He showed me pages of mathematics and formulas that gave him the answer. A few months ago he asked me to enter the amounts of the hydro and gas bills on a piece of paper in his folder. When I opened up the folder, I discovered that he had been recording the amounts since 1977! When I started scanning the numbers, his analytical mind already reasoned why some years were higher than others. He amazed me often! Both Harry and Ann have been so generous and caring to me. Although they both have had to deal with the heaviness and horrors of cancer in their lives, their smiles, hugs, laughter, great conversations and delicious meals brightened and filled my world!! I will forever be grateful and I already miss Harry very much. By the way, he did end up purchasing the heat pump.
My condolences and hugs to his supportive family.

Harry was a wonderful partner in business and a great friend . In our many projects and travels, there was always time for fun and relaxation after the work was done. He will be missed greatly by both myself and Janet. Best wishes to Ann and than the family. Harry could not have asked for more devoted sons and companion.

Harry,
Although ours was a brief friendship brought together as a result of MarySue’s passing, I know you will be missed by family and many friends around the world. I consider myself one of them.

Having been a Polysar employee during much of Harry's career and having shared a surprisingly similar background in our youths, Harry and I were not short of shared topics whenever we had discussions. Having Ukrainian roots also offered a vehicle to converse on a broader spectrum of perspectives.
As his obituary captures, Harry, as a professional, accomplished a rewarding and full career. In my dealings with him, I found him to be straightforward and down-to-earth. He had an easy manner and proved to be one who was respected by those of us who knew him well.
He was a good man! My condolences to Ann and Harry's family members.
Respectfully,
Walter Petryschuk
