As a loving wife, mother and Nana, Gladys will be remembered for her warm and generous heart. She kept a lovely home for her family and enjoyed serving dinners at her dining room table to family and friends. In the community she was an active member of the I.O.D.E. for over 50 years, a member of the UCW at Grace United Church, and donated her time to the C.N.I.B. She enjoyed playing Bridge and was a fierce Euchre player. Her hands were never idle. She was a skilled seamstress and knitter; her smocked dresses for her granddaughters are family treasures. Dear Mom, the hard work is done, you have earned your rest and we wish you peace. You will be forever in our hearts. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Afton Park Place, Dr. Maddison and Dr. Crombeen for their loving care of our mother.
Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place at the Lakeview Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy and in honouring her many years of volunteering, friends who wish may send memorial donations to The Canadian National Institute for the Blind, 749 Base Line Rd.
