Obituary of Hubert Andre Gignac

GIGNAC, Hubert Andre – Peacefully with his son by his side, Hubert Gignac died at Bluewater Health on Friday, May 17, 2019 at the age of 80.  Loving father of Robert & his wife Desiree, Sarnia.  Dear brother of Alice Seguin, Alfred “Fred” (Irene) Gignac and Fernand (Jeanne) Gignac.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents Georgina & Xavier Gignac and his siblings; Jeanette, Armand, Leo and Laurent. Hubert  was a very dedicated and passionate man. A carpenter by trade he  was very proud of his membership in Local 1256 .  He loved to spend time making things utilizing his carpentry skills. Hubert enjoyed walking and meeting people along the way.  He had a great sense of humour and was always ready with a joke.  Hubert’s passion was his son Robert.  He spent his life teaching and mentoring him to be the best man he could be.   Cremation has taken place.  Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 6 to 7 p.m.  Funeral Service will be held immediately following in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel at 7 p.m.  As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the charity of your choice.  Messages of condolence and memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com
