Obituary of Sam Kheir

KHEIR, Samir “Sam” – Peacefully after a courageous and lengthy battle, Sam Kheir died at Bluewater Health on Thursday, April 4, 2019, at 80 years of age.  Loving father of Anthony “Andy” Kheir, Kitchener and Margrit “Marg” Quesnell & her husband Keith, Maryland.  Cherished papa of Danielle & Gabriel Quesnell and Caitlin, Lauren, Luke & Andrew Gallacher.  Longtime special companion and friend for over 40 years of Joan Gallacher and her sons Craig, Alex & his wife Lynne.  Also survived by his sisters and many nieces and nephews in Egypt.  Predeceased by his parents and several brothers.  Sam was a teacher at St.Patrick’s and St. Christopher’s Catholic School for over 30 years.  Sam’s passion was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He loved to golf and had a great interest in politics.   Friends and family will be received at McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St. Sarnia on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 from 2 – 4 &  7 – 9 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Thursday, April 11^th at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
