Obituary of Eleanor Marie Bruner

BRUNER, Eleanor Marie - Peacefully surrounded by her family at Bluewater Health Palliative Care, Eleanor died on Tuesday April 2, 2019 at the age of 71. Eleanor was the loving wife of the late Gerry Bruner (Aug. 19, 2013) She is survived by her three children Brenda (Jim Bunda) Bruner, Michael (Crystal Croteau) Bruner and Jim (Jenn Johnson) Bruner. Eleanor was a proud Nana to her grandchildren Nick, Ashley, Christina, Amber, Tyler, Tabitha, Kalib, Brittany, Jordynn, Natasha, Lindsay, Kyle, Alexis, Ryan, Maddison and Great-grandma to Hunter and Mathew. Sister to Ruth Cook, Carol MacKenzie and Ken Huber.  Sister-in-law of Bryan Keegan. Eleanor was an aunt to many nieces and nephews and was a close family friend to Trudy. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Isabelle Huber, her siblings; Gloria Dupuis, Bob Dupuis and Vernon Huber, her sisters-in-law Joanne Keegan and Lynn & Carl Maron. Eleanor grew up in Windsor where she met the love of her life and they were married June 22, 1968. In 1976 they moved to Sarnia where she was employed at Polysar and they continued to raise their family.  Eleanor loved to play cards, dance and spend time with her family that she loved to pieces. Her family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Bluewater Health ICU, 4^th floor General and Palliative Care for their compassion and care throughout her journey.  Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held immediately following visitation in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel at 2:00 p.m.  As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 556 Christina St. N., 2^nd Floor, Sarnia, N7T 5W6.
