Obituary of Mary Theresa Riach

RIACH, Mary Theresa on November 3, 2018 peacefully at Bluewater Health, with family at her side. Predeceased by her beloved husband Ian. Their 40 years together brought Mary comfort and beautiful memories. Predeceased by her cherished sister Catherine and dear brother-in-law Bruce Robertson.  She was devoted to her four nephews and niece. Dan (Julie) Robertson, David (late Cathy) Robertson, Doug Robertson, Diane (Ken) Ducharme and Joe Robertson (Margie). Special great aunt of Christopher (Michelle) Robertson, Jennifer (Mike) Birnie, Jessica (Mike) Haluschak, Jenna (Nick) Bedard, Andie Robertson, Darryl (Sarim) Ducharme, Mark (Becky) Ducharme, Trevor Ducharme (Kayla) and Matthew Ducharme. Great great aunt to Lea and Myles, Edward and Angus, Grace, Isla and Emily. Mary was born in Sarnia and attended St. Joseph’s School and Church. She worked at Polysar and served C.W.L. and her faith community. Mary’s greatest joy was family events and holidays. Mary spent her last years at Fairwinds Lodge and Vision Nursing Home supported by wonderful companions.  Friends and family will be received at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St. Sarnia on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 5 – 8 p.m. with prayers being offered at 7:30 p.m., Deacon Dave Robertson to celebrate. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday, November 7 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Matthew Bedard. Interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
