Obituary of Ruth Helen Daamen

DAAMEN, Ruth Helen (Engleson) – Peacefully surrounded by her family, Ruth passed away at Sumac Lodge on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. Beloved wife of Harry. Dear mother of Cheryl Talbot (Jeffrey), Sarnia and Karen Moysey (Kevin), Sarnia. Loving grandmother of Renee (Kenny), Tyler, Christopher and Kyle. Great-grandmother of Alexis and Luke. Favourite aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by daughter Jean Daamen, brothers Tom, Clarence and James Engleson and sisters Margaret Blair and Jean Paulson. Ruth was the housekeeper at Sacred Heart Rectory for many years and was a member of the Catholic Women’s League for over 60 years. The family would like to thank the staff at Sumac Lodge for the excellent care given to Mom during her 5 year stay there. Friends and family will be received at McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St. Sarnia on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
