Obituary of Mary Frankovic

FRANKOVIC, Mary (nee Vukobratic) - Peacefully at Bluewater Health, Mary Frankovic died on June 10, 2018 at the age of 87. Born October 29,1930 in Croatia  Beloved wife of the late Josip Frankovic (1999)  Loving mother of Darlene Davidson & her husband Bill, Toronto, Jim Frankovic, Vancouver and George Frankovic & his spouse Janice, Toronto. Cherished grandmother of James & Joseph Davidson Dear sister of Veko Vukobratic & his wife Barbara, sister in law Mary Vukobratic Sarnia Also survived by many nieces and nephews Predeceased by her parents Ivan & Katarina Vukobratic and her siblings John & Branko Vukobratic Ankica Osmak & Barkica Spancic.  Mary was a devoted member of the Catholic Woman's League & the Croatian Club of Sarnia.  She was known to bring her famous homemade strudel to many of the events. Whenever anyone in her neighborhood community needed a seamstress, Mary was known to apply her expert tailoring with swift efficiency.  Mary loved flowers and always had the most beautiful gardens.  Visitation will be held at the MCKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431. N. Christina St., Sarnia ON., Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Benedict's Church on Thursday, June 14th at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.  The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Marshall Gowland Manor for their compassion and care of Mary for many years.
