Obituary of Mary Katherine Guay

GUAY, Mary Katherine – With her family by her side, Mary Katherine Guay died peacefully at Vision Nursing Home on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the age of 79.  Beloved wife of Fernando Guay.  Loving mother of Linda O’Boyle (Dan), Cheryl Tsuyuki (Gary), Ted Guay (Lisa), Michelle Guay (Real Bedard), and Jill Prentice (Blaine). Cherished grandmother of Brett & Tara Nakamoto, David Tsuyuki (Tiffany) Katie Tsuyuki (Jamie Thompson), Michael Guay (Madison), Nick & Sara Guay, Shawna McLeod (Wade Geddes), Leah Legault, Emily Everett (Russell), and Clara Prentice.  Great grandmother of Taylor & Devin Tsuyuki, Addison & Wesley Everett, Noella Geddes, and Lili Guay. Dear sister of Gayle Nettleton, Denny Stothers (Diane), Beth Douglas (Don) and Jim Stothers (Gisele).  Sister-in-law of Barb Stothers, Blandine Larocque (Vinnie), Maurice Guay (Lena), Colette Guay, Yvette Guay and Diane Coe (Rejean).  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents Frederick & Donalda Stothers, sisters; Donna & Anne, brothers; Bud, Ted and John, brothers-in-law Jean Guay and Bertrand Guay.  Katherine was a sweet and gentle soul.  Family meant the world to her.  She enjoyed making crafts and sewing for her children.  You could always find Katherine tending to her gardens or feeding the birds in her yard.  Fernando & Katherine loved to travel in their motor home, making many new friends along the way.  She will be forever missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her.  The family would like to express their gratitude to Stephanie, Alicia and all the staff at Vision Nursing Home for their compassionate care of Katherine.  Cremation has taken place.  Visitation at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr.
