Obituary of Margaret Mary Thevenot

THEVENOT, Margaret Mary “Marge” – On Friday, March 30, 2018 one week before her 92nd birthday, surrounded by her loving children, Marge became Heaven’s newest angel. Born at South End on the Sea, England, Marge came to Canada in 1946 as a war bride. She lived a long and fulfilled life with loving family and many dear friends. In Manitoba, Marge used her hairdressing and sewing skills to help support her family. She had a beautiful singing voice and sang at weddings as well as in St. Peter’s Church choir for many years. Marge and her family moved to Sarnia in 1958. She worked for People’s Jewellers for 25 years. She loved her friends and was very social. She was past President of the Ladies Auxillary of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 62 and the Knight’s of Columbus. She was a skilled dart player and an avid card player. She especially enjoyed playing Pepper. Her friends from the Strangway Centre and Dunlop United Church were very kind and supportive and made her look forward to her card days. Predeceased by her daughters Irene and Judy, her son-in-law Don Rand and special friend Wally Hancox. Survived by her daughters Faye Dewar (Ken Jung), Sue Winter (Roger), Lee Brooks (James) and son Michael Thevenot, her grandchildren Sandra Kress (Lionel), John Mozel (Ann), Robert Mozel (Denise), Anne Hubbell, Terry Hubbell (Alanna), Sherri Lindsay (Cory), Jodi Rand (Jeff Poirier), Steve Majewski, Kat Majewski (Sara Cross), Megan Thevenot and Tyler Thevenot.
