Obituary of Joseph Anthony Genovy

GENOVY, JOSEPH Anthony- The family is heartbroken to announce the sudden death of Joseph Genovy on Friday, August 25, 2017 at the age of 61. Beloved husband of Stephanie. Loving father of Selena Mortensen & her husband Ryan. Dear brother of Theresa Genovy. Son-in-law of Ivan & (late) Ariel Percy. Brother-in-law of Maureen Genovy and Stephen & Tracy Percy. Loving friend of Robert Rozanski and special uncle to Jason Neely, Callum & Liam Percy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Florence & Stanley Genovy and his brother John. Joe will be greatly missed by his pooch Lucy. Joe was a true family man and spending time with them gave him great joy. He loved the outdoors and rescuing birds and many other natures' critters. Joe ran J & S Lawn care for many years. He loved to cook and was known for his incredible ribs. You could always find Joe at a local restaurant for wing night. Joe will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday August 29th immediately following visitation 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow.
