PIERZCHALSKI, George John - Surrounded by his family at St. Joseph's Hospice, George died peacefully on Monday, August 14, 2017 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of the late Natalie (Kiniauskas) (2007). Dear father of Michael (Patti) Pierzchalski, Belmont, Teresa (John) Foster, Burlington and Karen (Robert) Blain, Chatham. Loving grandfather of Alexander, Natalie, Joshua, Luke, Camille, Ayden, Michael and Lauren. Predeceased by parents Marcin & Stella (Rewers) Pierzchalski. It brought George great joy to witness the growth and successes of his grandchildren. George retired from Shell Canada in 1984 after 34 years of committed service. He dedicated his retirement years to being an active volunteer in his community, notably with St. Joseph's Hospice, Sunshine Dreams for Children and Sacred Heart Church. George was an avid golfer and bowler. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Victoria Hospital, Bluewater Health and St. Joseph's Hospice. Visitation will be at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with prayers offered at 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 10 a.m. Cremation will follow. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may make memorial donations to St. Joseph's Hospice, 475 N. Christina St., Sarnia, N7T 5W3.
