WORK, Hillary, Susan (nee Baines) - With her family and close friends by her side at St. Joseph's Hospice, Hillary Work died on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the age of 66. Beloved wife of Garry. Loving stepmother of Rene Work. Dear sister-in-law of Douglas (Nadine) Work, and Carolyn Greg(2017)Brown. Cherished aunt of Kelly Baines, Kiersten Baines and Vicky Holmes & Jeff Work. Predeceased by her parents Graydon (2006) & Isobel (2003) Baines. On 10 August 2016 I lost my best friend, wife, and confidant. Born in Toronto, on 3 Oct 1950, Hillary spent most of her life in Sarnia and I had the privilege of knowing her since she was nine. She was a graduate of Northern Collegiate and immediately following graduation Hillary began a lengthy career with Dow Chemical. She was a member of St. Bartholomew's Church and an active member of the Sarnia Quilters Guild in Sarnia. Hillary was a very craft oriented person who delved into such things as toll painting, knitting, needlepoint, gardening, and home decorating. Hillary was a beautiful person inside and out and the most devoted, loving wife a man could ask for. Thank you my darling for 38 wonderful years, I'll never forget you. Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at St. Bartholomew Anglican Church, Sarnia on Friday, August 18, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Funeral service will be held in the church at 11 a.m. Private interment at Sutherland Cemetery. Saturday, August 12, 2017Gary I was shocked and saddened to read of Hillary's death. I got to know her when she moved from Modeland Road to the Dow site. She was a lovely, pleasant and caring person. We continued our friendship for a while after she retired but unfortunately lost touch these last few years. It is so very difficult to lose our loved ones Gary and I know how close you two were. RIP Hillary.
