Auntie Mae has always been a vibrant force in my life, Through my youthful eyes as the younger sister of my grandmother, she always seemed so adventurous and fun. She would visit us often with her beautiful Florida tan and warm smile. I always looked forward to her visits and so enjoyed hearing her laughter and stories. As the years passed, I didn't see her as often but I feel that I never lost my connection to her. When I look back on my life, she is dotted throughout, in fact it was on a visit to her trailer in Grand Bend with mom and gramma that I met my husband!
She lived a good long life and I'm thankful that I was a small part of it, but I am still deeply saddened at her loss. I hope it will help the family to know how very much she was loved. I am truly sorry that I wasn't able to get to Sarnia to say my final farewell, please forgive me. Mae will be thought of often and with much love.
