I am sorry for your loss. I feel I spent a lot of time with Jack because I read his stories in The Gazette and looked forward to his columns in First Monday. I do remember seeing him at Mass one time at OLM and saying thanks to him for his work. I'm sure that I was not the only person around who approached him to say thanks as he kept active around town. Please know that he will be remembered by many.

Dear Mrs. Fullerton, Martha, Barb, Mary Sue and Michael:
It is with sadness that I have learned of the passing of your husband and father, Mr. Fullerton. He played a significant role in my upbringing in Sarnia as I was frequently visiting the Fullerton household and Barb was a close friend throughout our schooling years. Mr. Fullerton always treated me kindly and always had a smile and was always welcoming. He spoke always highly of my family. My siblings contacted me yesterday to inform me of his death so I am sending my condolences to all the Fullertons, and for me it is something of a milestone. The last I spoke with Mr. Fullerton was at Mom's Visitation two years ago. Both he and Mrs. Fullerton came and it was certainly a walk down memory lane. Life is short but there is a promise that we will all be reunited again as there is a bigger picture than this here earth and of what we can conceive. May you all take comfort in that.
My thoughts are with you all at this time.
Sincerely,
Cecilia Mallon

I left Athens in '63 but have many fond memories of Jack & Marciel Saddy and the Sarnia Gazette. They would be proud of our "athensnews.com" favorite newspaper founded 40 years ago in Athens, Ohio, using the same theme and still available "free twice a week. Jack and Marciel were gracious in supporting me to pursue new goals. Thanks to Sarnia's friendly culture the transition was easy!

Thank you Jack for teaching a young man great work ethics. The opportunity you provided me as a young teenager with no Father while working at the Gazzette provided me with life long skills.
You were a great influence on me and everyone you met.
