Obituary of Arby Eugene Baron
BARON, Arby, Eugene - Peacefully surrounded by his family at St. Joseph's Hospice, Arby Baron died on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Joan (Schilz). Loving father of Cathy Campbell (Allan), Debbie Hartwick (Doug), Sandra Entrop (Marty), Douglas Schilz, James Schilz (Robin) and Heather Mayea (Bill). Cherished grandfather of Alicia & Tayler Hartwick, Elizabeth, Melissa, Lindsey, Kimberleigh, Tyler, Lisa, Jessica, James & Jennifer. Special Pepere of Jayden, Alexis, Katlyn and Ben. Dear brother of Evelyn Arguin, Maurice Baron (Marcelle), Roland Baron (Stephanie) Roger Baron (Edith), Doris Richer (Sylvan) and Nicole Baron. Brother-in-law of Ann Baron. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wives; Mary Jane (Jean) Kelly (1985) and Bernadette Clara Winslow (2000), daughter Baby Kelly (1963) and his parents Armand and Meldred Baron, his siblings; Jeanette Desbiens, Laurette Fortin, Eddy Baron and his grandson Jason Entrop. Arby worked as a Shift Engineer for Suncor from 1965 to his time of retirement in 1990. Arby moved to Sarnia in 1966 but he always remembered his home town of Lac Megantic, Quebec. His passion to drive led to many years of travelling with his wives and family. He most of all enjoyed his time in Florida with his wife Joan and the close friends they made while there. He had a passion for family and loved spending time with them. Arby was an avid stamp collector and a past member of the Knight’s of Columbus. Visitation to be held Wednesday May 24, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia. Funeral Service to be held at Trinity Anglican Church, Sarnia on Thursday, May 25th at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow with private family interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to St. Joseph's Hospice, 475 N. Christina St., Sarnia, N7T 5W3 where Arby spent his final days so lovingly cared for.
