MORTIMER, Marion, Jude (nee MacDonald) - Peacefully at Parkview Nursing Home, Stouffville, Marion died on Friday February 10, 2017 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Norman Scotty Mortimer (2007). Loving mother to four daughters; , Holly (Don) Howard of Brantford, Sherry Pavey of Hamilton, Jenny Bodnar of Uxbridge, Shana Mortimer (Rick Gibson), Uxbridge. Proud grandmother of Kim (Gord) Cowan, Rodney Howard (Tammy), Greg (Nadine) Pavey, Jessica Bodnar, Cameron and Ben Mortimer-Gibson. Cherished great-grandmother of Tori Howard, Caleb Bodnar and Lola & Scarlett Pavey. Dear sister-in-law of John Mortimer. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Marion was the last surviving sibling of the MacDonald family. She was an avid gardener and bird lover and spent many happy days in her yard with her flowers, birds and her beloved dogs. She had a kind heart for any animal in need and instilled that kindness in all four of her daughters. Marion had a creative edge that is clearly reflected in her poetry and flair for interior design. As children her daughters were never quite sure what the house would look like or where the furniture would be situated when they came home from school. Despite many strong opinions and lively discussions in the family, Marion was the apple of Norman's eye and they are now together in heaven continuing the discussions. Visitation at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia on Monday, February 13th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Vince Gulikers on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Private interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Sarnia and District Humane Society, Wanda's Wish Trust or the Spay/Neuter Program, 131 Exmouth St., Sarnia N7T 5M3.
