Obituary of Gertrude Prévost

PRÉVOST, Marie "Gertrude" Thérèse (nee Charron) - With her family by her side at Vision Nursing Home, Gertrude Prévost died peacefully on Friday, February 3, 2017. Beloved wife of the late John Albert Prévost (2014). Loving mother of Andy & his wife Dale, Ron and & his wife Sue and Ginette Villemaire & her husband Gérard. Cherished mémé of Rob (Cindy), Heather (Dwayne), Shanon (Tony), Shawn (Kate), Mark, Michelle (Mark), Christian, Nicolas (Cristina), Gabrielle and Céleste. Special great-mémé of Grayson, Dustin, Drake, Trenton, Brett, Colton, Mason, Spencer, Taylor, Jonathan, Katherine, Matthew, Émilie and Auna. Dear sister of Laurianne Guenette, Rita Blackwell (Richard), Murielle Bougie (Aurele), Lucille Charbonneau (Claude), Gérald Charron (Alice) and Maurice Charron (Linda). Also survived by many nieces and nephews and special god-daughters Hélène and Gertrude. Predeceased by her parents Albert & Régina Charron, infant twin sons and in-laws Philippe & Marguerite (Chapados) Prévost. Gertrude's faith and family were most important in her life. She loved to play cards and board games. Gertrude was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society for many years. Visitation will be at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Vince Gulikers at Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday, February 8th at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow with private family interment at a later date.
