Obituary of Donna Mae Davies

DAVIES, Donna Mae (Strevel) – Surrounded by her loving family at Vision Nursing Home, Donna passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at the age of 77. Beloved wife of the late Robert (2004). Dear mother of Brenda (George) Lefebvre, Sarnia, Cheryl (Mike) Cannon, Sarnia, Judy (Allen) Taylor, Sarnia and Sandra (Dave) McCoy, Oakville. Loving grandmother of Brian, Greg and Michael Lefebvre, Laura, Lee, Bobbi and Andrew Cannon, Eric, Justine and Patrick Taylor and Melissa and Matt McCoy. Great-grandmother of Haylie, Alex, Ben and Sullivan. Sister of Marion (Bruce) Ferns, Sarnia and Nancy (Glen) Emery, London. Sister-in-law of Bill (late Joan) Stewardson, Ted (Theresa) Davies, Diane Gordon and Ann (late Reg) Davies. Donna will also be sadly missed by her special friend Alf Primeau. Also surviving are several nieces & nephews. Predeceased by parents William & Norbertha Strevel. Donna was a long time member of the Catholic Women’s League. She worked for 25 years at Sears and was a member of Greenwood Golf Club and the Red Hat Group. Friends will be received at St. Benedict’s Church (corner of Oak & Lansdowne) on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 9-9:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately following at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society, 420 N. East St. N7T 6Y5.
