MARIUZ, Silvia – At Glendale Crossing, London, on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, Silvia Mariuz died at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Ernesto Mariuz (1994). Loving mother of Grace Best & her late husband Hayward (2004), London and the late Robert Mariuz (1999). Cherished grandmother of Kathryn Best, Stephen Best & his partner Marissa Berilli & Diana Best, London, Rachael Alton & her husband Brent, Lucknow, Lisa Mariuz & Adam Mariuz, Sarnia. Great-grandmother of Kingston Best, Olivia Farquharson & Hudson Alton. Predeceased by her parents and brother in Italy. Silvia was a generous and kind person who gave to others before herself. Her passion in life was her family and she was so proud of her grandchildren. She loved to cook especially for her family, spoiling them with her secret sauce and veal cutlets. Silvia loved to work in her vegetable garden. Holidays were always a celebration and she welcomed everyone with open arms and a full heart. She was a past member of the St. Joseph’s CWL. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431. N. Christina St., Sarnia on Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be held at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Steve Savel at St. Joseph’s Church on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
