HUNT, Winifred Clarice – At Bluewater Health on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 Clarice died at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Glen (1954). Loving mother of Glennis Murphy, Ian & his wife Dianne and Pete. Cherished grandmother of Bill, Sean (Michelle), Jeff (Julie), Steven (Kathleen) and Craig (Natalie). Dear great-grandmother of William, Jessica, Tyler, Brittany, Kayla, Mackenna, Braeden, Gavin, Madeline and Nathan. Predeceased by her parents Ernest & Winifred and daughter-in-law Christine. Clarice was born in 1920 in England where she met her husband and moved to Sarnia in 1953. She was a proud member of the Bletchley Park Girls that decoded the German radio transmissions during WW2. Clarice worked for many years as a secretary at Imperial Oil and also worked at Lambton College Library and the Bookeeper. She was a member of the Sarnia Tennis Club, the Sport Rally Group, Sarnia Little Theatre and White Cane Society. Clarice was instrumental in bringing the Imperial Theatre back to life. She spent endless hours not only volunteering her time to the theatre but loved to act, direct and produce many productions. She enjoyed singing, dancing and choreographing with the Polysar Glee Club. Private family arrangements will follow. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted to the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, (519-344-3131).
