Obituary of John Ian Penman Bryce

BRYCE, John Ian - Ian passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Bluewater Health on Friday, April 1, 2016 at the age of 69. Beloved partner of Sandra Orlowski. Loving father of Michael (Nicole) Bryce, Sarnia, Matthew (Lindsay) Bryce, Orangeville and Marie (Aaron Baginski) Bryce, Calgary. Adored Poppa to Liam, Danica and Kennedy. Dear brother of Jimmy (Rita) Bryce, Ottawa, Findlay (Pearl) Bryce, Barry's Bay and Sandy Bryce, Mississauga. Survived by his dear friend and mother of his children Joanne Bryce, Collingwood. Originally born in Scotland, Ian and his family moved to Toronto Canada when he was young. Ian was a Realtor in Caledon, Ontario where he made many friends and helped raise his family. Ian had a poignant insight into life and a whole lot of tenacity. Ian loved fishing, golfing, spending time with his family, "winning" at washers, scrabble and crib. Ian was immensely proud of his family and made sure to tell them he loved them every time they spoke. Cremation has taken place. Private family arrangements entrusted to the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 519-344-3131. A celebration of Ian's life will be held for family and friends at the Streetsville Overseas Veterans' Club RCL Branch 139, 101 Church St., Mississauga from 12 - 4 pm on Saturday, April 9, 2016. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the David Suzuki Foundation, http://www.davidsuzuki.org/donate/donate-in-memory/ .
