Obituary of Hans Gijsbert Strybosch
STRYBOSCH, Johan "Hans" - Peacefully at Fiddick's Nursing Home, Petrolia, Johan :'Hans" Strybosch died Tuesday, March 29, 2016. Loving father of Nataschja Storozuk & her husband Kevin, Sarnia and Ingmar Strybosch, Calgary. Cherished Opa of Jordan Storozuk (Joel Rocque), Ottawa and Andie Storozuk (Mitch Hansen), Ottawa. Dear brother of Henk Strijbosch (Winny), and their children Mirjam Strijbosch (John) and Hans Strijbosch (Agatha) and great niece Jennifer Molenaar (Boaz). Also survived by special friend Irma Klaassen. Predeceased by his parents. Hans was a graduate of Kings College, London. He loved helping people which led to his career as a Social Worker at London Psychiatric Hospital for over 20 years. Hans was instrumental in founding the London Aids Society. He had a wonderful sense of humour, an incredible zest for life, enjoyed travelling and spending quality time with his family. Hans has been battling dementia and Alzheimer’s for the last several years, but through it all kept his sunny outlook which was best summed up in his favorite toast “To Better Days”…..Cremation has taken place and private arrangements have been made. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Fiddick’s Nursing Home and Dr. Macdonald & his wife Liz for their compassion and care of Hans in his final months. A tree will be planted in memory of Hans Strybosch in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest. Dedication service Sunday, September 18th, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area.
