Obituary of Adam Marut

MARUT, Adam - With his family by his side, God has called home his child Adam Marut. Beloved husband of Margaret for 66 years. Loving father of David & his wife Janis, Callendar, Lewis & his wife Patricia, Camlachie, Catherine, London, Lisa Andrews & her husband David, Sarnia, and Tim & his wife Tracy, Sarnia. Cherished grandfather of 10 & great-grandfather of 5. Predeceased by his parents Joseph & Klara. Adam immigrated to Canada after WWII. He worked as a lumberjack and miner in the north where he met the love of his life, Margaret in Kirkland Lake and moved to Sarnia in 1951. Adam worked in maintenance at Polymer until he retired in 1991. He loved the outdoors and spending time with family. After retirement you could often find Adam sunning in the backyard. He will be greatly missed but lovingly remembered. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431. N. Christina St., Sarnia on Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Steve Savel at St. Benedict's Church on Friday, March 18, at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery to follow. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to charity of choice. Messages of condolence and memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com A tree will be planted in memory of Adam Marut in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest.
