Obituary of Harold Gilbert Brunton
BRUNTON, Harold Gilbert - Surrounded by his family at Bluewater Health, Harold “Butch” Brunton died on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the age of 72. Beloved husband of Mary (Cormier). Loving father of Annalee Brunton, Sarnia & Kyle Brunton & his wife Heather, London. Cherished grandfather of Cassie, Luke and Benjamin Brunton. Dear brother of Patricia Hamilton (late Bob), Sarnia, Joan Parker & her husband Rev. Gary Parker, Thamesville. Brother-in-law of Denyse Phenix (Robert), Eric Cormier (Karen), Robert Cormier, Gerald Cormier and Cheryl Cormier (Fred). Predeceased by his parents Gilbert & Emily Brunton and his niece Debbie Phenix. Harold was a Veteran Army Gunner and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 447, Corunna for 48years. He volunteered his time with the St. Vincent de Paul. Harold loved to hunt and fish and was a member of the Lambton Conservation Association. Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation, 774 London Rd., Sarnia, N7T 4Y1 or the Canadian Cancer Society, 714 Lite St. Pt. A tree will be planted in memory of Harold Brunton in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest. Dedication service Sunday, September 18th, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area.
