Scott, Mark and Lori so sorry to learn of your Dad's passing. I have many fond
memories at your house in Southampton when I babysat you children.
We spent many Saturdays together.
Your Mom and Dad were great curlers and did enjoy their curling bonspiels
along with their many friends.
I have thought of you often and wondered where you were and what you were
doing now that you are all grown up. I saw Scott about 40 0r 45 years ago
at the Lighthouse Restaurant in Southampton .
Cherish the memories and know that your Dad and his brother are together
in a better place.
Sincerely, Marilyn Porter

Scott, Mark, Lori and families,
We are saddened by Doug's passing and you are all in our thoughts and prayers. We always think of the good times our families enjoyed together all the years you were in Southampton and over the years since when we have seen Doug and George there. Anytime I go in or past the old hardware store, I think of all the times I went in with my Dad to visit with Doug who always had a smile and good words for his cousins. His kindness and happiness will be missed by all.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and his dear friend Paula. Rick worked with this wonderful man at Guifoyle Barrons Real Estate and we became social friends with Doug and Viv. After passing of Viv, we saw Doug many times and was so impressed with how he was handling life ; always so positive, healthy and cheerful and brining joy to so many people playing in bands as an excellent saxophone player. Treasure the wonderful memories of such a great; a true positive wonderful gentleman.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Doug's passing. It was a special privilege to have known him. He was a true gem of a man and a great musician. Every time that great swinging tenor sax came in it made you feel good. He was the best.

Please accept Sam's and my condolences on Doug's passing. He was a proper gentleman and an artist on the saxophone. I shall greatly miss our regular basement jam sessions. If there is a big band in the sky, it has just picked up an excellent sax player. Rest in peace, Doug.
