Obituary of Angela Maria Federico
FEDERICO, Angela Maria (Lopetrone) - Surrounded by her family at Bluewater Health, on Friday, June 26, 2015, Angela Maria Federico died at the age of 67. Beloved wife of 47 years of Guiseppe Federico. Loving mother of Caterina Sapone & her husband Daniel, Gina Benway & her husband Steven, Salvatore Federico & his wife Nadine all of Sarnia and Marcello Federico & his wife Denise, Seattle. Cherished Nonna of DJ & Bianca Sapone, Connor & Alyssa Benway, Cole, Domenic and Guiseppe Noah Federico. Loving daughter of Teresa & the late Salvatore Lopetrone. Dear sister of Guiseppe Lopetrone (Angela), Rosa Mancusi (Guiseppe), Antonietta Mele (Luigi), Caterina Savo (Tony) and Franca Januszkiewicz (Chris). Sister-in-law of Dominico Federico (Caterina), Giovanna Acuri (late Giovanni) and Raffaele Federico (Gina). Also survived by her aunt Rosa Andali (John), many cousins, nieces, nephews and great-nieces & nephews. Angela's passion was her family. She loved to scrapbook, especially making albums for her children and grandchildren. For 10 years she volunteered her time caring for children and working as a lunch supervisor at the catholic elementary schools. She was a long time member of Our Lady of Mercy Church and spent many hours working with the children. Visitation will be held Monday, June 29, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 30th at 1:30 p.m. celebrated by Fr. Steven Marsh. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. A tree will be planted in memory of Angela Federico in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest. Dedication service Sunday, September 20th, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area.
