Obituary of Earl Ernest Forrest
FORREST, Earl – At Bluewater Health on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the age of 79. Husband of the late Helen (2013). Dear father of Sue Forrest, Point Edward, Paul Forrest (Laurie Hickey), Kirkland Lake and Peter Forrest, Ottawa. Brother of Gordon (Brenda), George, Ronald (Cathy) and Robert (Fleurette) Forrest and Joyce (Ken) Shaver and Helen (Lee) Anning. Brother-in-law of Shirley Forrest. Also surviving are several nieces & nephews. Predeceased by parents Albert & Reta Forrest, brother David Forrest and brother-in-law Frank Lindquist. Earl and his family came to Sarnia in 1966 where he took a job as a millwright at C.I.L. Later he was employed at Interprovincial Pipelines. In 1979 Earl took a position with Oasis Oil Company working in Libya at Gialo Camp in the Sahara Desert. He worked there until his retirement in 2000. Earl was a hard worker and took great pride in his trade. Dad enjoyed spending time with family and friends and his "companions" Sasha, Charlie and Minky. Visitation at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery. A tree will be planted in memory of Earl Forrest in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest. Dedication service Sunday, September 20th, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area.
