With profound sadness we announce the sudden death of a truly remarkable woman, Mary Jeanne MacTaggart, in her 80th year. Devoted and loving wife of the late Thomas John (1998). Cherished mother of seven children and their families: Marilyn Soulard, son Brian and wife Trinidi and their children Kasia and Jacob; daughter Nicole and fiancé, Brad Humble and his daughter Halie; Dianne and husband Leonard St. Louis and their daughter Audrey; Brian and wife Kathy Lee Sang and their children Sean and Heather; Susan; Janet LaPlante and her children Marlene, Charlie and Joshua; Carolyn and her partner Mike Wilson and their children Jaime and Shea and Mike’s son Ryan; Michelle and her partner Stewart Broderick and his children Russell and Lynsey. Daughter of the late Omer Lucier and Ursula Emery. She was the youngest of seven siblings who loved her dearly: the late Antoinette Ross (Charles), Valentine Haggarty (Earl), Romain J., Romain E. (Amanda), Leonard, Joseph, Gerald (Margie). Survived by sisters-in-law Betty Lucier and Mary Legge and brother-in-law Gerald MacTaggart (Marnie). Dear friend to Rita, Lillian and Norm, Lydia, Alice and Paul. Mary Jeanne enjoyed a special bond with her mother Ursula that lasted her lifetime. Mary Jeanne was a very bright, happy, humble and exceedingly generous person dedicated to her family and the well-being of others. Mary Jeanne was an energetic and active member of her local church, a lifelong volunteer, bowler, reader, sewer, walker, card player, piano player, jigsaw puzzle solver, and hockey fan. She loved gathering with family and friends to share stories and laughter; her home always a central gathering place. Mary Jeanne could always be counted on for sensible sound advice, her wisdom, leadership and guidance provided an anchor for all who came into her life. With laughter that filled our hearts and a smile that lit-up our lives she will be greatly missed by all. We love you, always and forever.
