DYLEWSKI, Walter – At Sumac Lodge on Thursday, April 22, 2010, Walter died at the age of 94. Husband of the late Mary. Father of Paul (Maria), Eddy (Mina), Barrie and the late JoAnna. Grandfather of Michael, Ellis, Ryan and Taylor. Brother of Luba Ciurak, Australia. Predeceased by his parents Edmund and Johanna, brothers Roman and Fred and his sister Zenobia Awalkowska. Walter was a soldier in the Polish Army and a barber in Sarnia for many years. He loved his cottage at Lakeview Haven and was an avid gardener. Extreme gratitude to Veteran’s Affairs Canada for their support during his stay at Sumac Lodge. Special thanks to the staff and residents at Sumac Lodge who became Walter’s family and friends. Your caring and compassion enlightened his last years. Visitation at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, Monday from 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Waclaw Chudy at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church on Tuesday, April 27th at 10 a.m. Private family interment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to Sumac Lodge, 1464 Blackwell Rd., Sarnia N7S 5M4.
