Obituary of Marvin Lannan

LANNAN, Marvin Basil – Suddenly in the company of friends April 7th, 2010, just short of his 74th birthday. Marv is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Mary (Patton) and his brothers Joseph (Joyce) Lannan and Rev. Paul Lannan. He will be truly missed by his three children Susan (Les) Wookey, Tim (Roselyn) Lannan and Tom (Sandra) Lannan. He was the proud and loving Papa of Ian, Matthew and Alison Wookey; Chance Lannan; Kristen, Kyle, Kelsey and Connor Lannan; John and Jacob Ryan. Marv served 10 years with the Royal Canadian Navy before moving his young family to Sarnia. He retired from Polysar 19 years ago. Marv’s generous and caring spirit is remembered by all who met him. He lived life to the fullest from the very beginning to the very end. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St, Sarnia on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Benedict’s Church on Thursday, April 15th at 11 a.m. with Fr. Paul Lannan and Fr. Nick Marro officiating. Cremation to follow. Friends are welcome at the interment service at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery on Friday, April 16th at 10 a.m. All friends are encouraged to join with the family for a celebration of Marv’s life at 1477 Lakeshore Road (Tom’s home) immediately following the service.
