Obituary of Roger Donat Larochelle

LAROCHELLE, Roger Donat – At Afton Park Place on Tuesday, December 1, 2009, Roger died at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Francoise (Gosselin) for 55 years. Loving father of Diane, St. Hubert, QC, Richard, Sarnia, Louyse and her husband Frank Balfour, Camlachie and Pierre and his wife Marianne Maniuk, Petrolia. Proud grand papa of Charles, Francois, Bianca and Alexandre. Brother-in-law of the late Sylvio (Rejeanne) Gosselin, QC, Paul Emile (Louise) Gosselin, QC, and the late Jean Yves Gosselin. Predeceased by his parents Raoul and Juanita. Roger was a member of the Pipefitters Union, Local 663 for over 50 years. He was a parishoner at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 8940, belonged to the International Order of Forresters and was a member of the club La Gaiete. Visitation at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Thursday, December 10th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Terence Runstedler at St. Thomas Aquinas Church on Friday, December 11th at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow with a private family interment.
