Obituary of Karl Lohmayer

LOHMAYER, KARL – Passed away at Marshall Gowland Manor in Sarnia, Ontario on Tuesday, November 17th, 2009 at the age of 97 years. Husband to the late Ida Lohmayer, father of Christa Zekorn (Gerhard) and grandfather of Monica (Paddy), Mike (Lidia) and Martin (Janice) Zekorn. “Opa Opa” will be sadly missed by his great-grandchildren Eric, Justin, George, Jacob, Marta and Emma. Brother to Leo Lohmayer (Angelika) of Homestead, Florida and Gertrude Kapp of Austria. Karl will be missed by extended family and the friends he made throughout the years. The family would like to thank the staff of Marshall Gowland Manor for taking such good care of Karl. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Friday, November 20 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel on Saturday, November 21 at 1 p.m. with Dr. Roy Lawson, Pastor, Temple Baptist Church officiating.
