Obituary of John Maarhuis

MAARHUIS, John – Passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at the age of 68. Beloved husband of Evie for 31 years. Loving father of Tracy (Brian) Mukli, Debbie Maarhuis, Michael Maarhuis, Mike Roesch and Karen (Kevin) Sullivan. Proud grandfather of Ashley, Demi, Chad, Jamie, Lindsey, Mike Jr., Nicholas, Tyler, Ryan and Paige. Dear brother of Jan Galecka, Marty (Deb) Maarhuis and Herb (Mary) Maarhuis. Also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. John was the President of Curran Contractors in Sarnia, ON. He loved his job and in his spare time enjoyed his time on the golf course. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. A celebration of John’s life will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 2 p.m. with Bill Strachan officiating. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to a charity of their choice.
