ROSS, Earl Edward – Peacefully at Bluewater Health – Palliative Care on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late Celestine Constance (Dionne) Ross. Dear father of John (Penny), London, Timothy (Linda), Sarnia, Robert (Greta), Sarnia, Michael (Linda), Smiths Falls, Alan (Betty), Arva, James (Louise), Forest and Margaret (Dr. Allan Marshall), Bright's Grove. Loving grandfather of Holliby (Jonah), Jeffrey, BreeAnn (Phil), Christopher (Doris), Scott (Heather), Jennifer, Brent, Brandon, Mandy (Mark), Tyler, Melissa (Kevin), Tate (Trish), Dan (Lynn), Dwayne (Emma), Kerrie, Lisa (Matt), Vincent (Jenn), Andrew (Sarah), Ashleigh, Bernadette (Dylan), Brandy (Ed), David (Amanda), Evan Dean and Wade. Great-grandfather of James, Amy, Veya, Kyla, Daylon, Keria, Blayne, Madison, Lucas, Jillian, Kate, Justin, Jordan, Ella, Carter, Jasmin. Brother of Ruth Chappell (late Jack), Sarnia and Dorothy Creasey (late Don), Forest. Brother-in-law of Mary Ann Rosenbloom, Sarnia. Special father, “Grandpa”, uncle, and friend to many extended family and friends. Predeceased by parents Ernest and Ella Rosenbloom and brothers James (late Donna) and Ernest and sister Betty Ann. Mr. Ross retired from Polysar in 1982. He served with the R.C.N.V.R. during W.W. II and was a member and former Commodore of the Sarnia Yacht Club, a member 3rd Degree Knight’s of Columbus and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Friends will be received at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Friday where prayers will be offered at 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Terence Runstedler at St. Thomas Aquinas Church on Saturday at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation, 714 London Rd., Sarnia, N7T 4Y1.
