Obituary of Joseph Muir McLaughlin

McLAUGHLIN, Joseph Muir – At Marshall Gowland Manor on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the age of 89. Uncle of Tom McLaughlin, Stratford, Lois McLaughlin, Waterloo, Margaret McLaughlin, Sudbury, Jane Johnston, Ottawa, Shirley Schwerdfeger, Ottawa and Patricia Barlow. Brother-in-law of Anita McLaughlin, Larder Lake, Ruth McLaughlin, Ottawa. Predeceased by brothers Arthur, Keith and John and sister Meta. Joseph served with the R.C.A.F. from 1939-1943. He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Toronto in 1949. He retired from Dow Chemical in 1983 and was a member of Central United Church. The funeral service will be held at Central United Church, 220 George St., Sarnia on Monday at 11 a.m. and will be officiated by the Rev. Christine Jerrett of Central United Church. Interment Fordwich Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia (519-344-3131).
