PAPPAS, LILLIAN – With family by her side at St. Joseph's Hospice, Sarnia, on Thursday, July 24, 2014, Lillian Pappas died on the 38th wedding anniversary to her beloved husband Chris, at the age of 81. Loving mother of Mary Jo Bryce (Ivan), Watford. Dear step-mother of Arlene Vujacic (Terry), Toronto, Christine Race (Mike), Michigan, Carol Bruni (Frank), Toronto. Cherished grandmother of Melinda Podolinsky (Archie McIlmoyle), Brian Podolinsky (Dianne), Cathy Hatton (Paul), Stephen Vujacic (Sylvia), Christopher Vujacic (Darcy), Sandy Zahp (Casey), Connie Watson (Rich), Sean Handler (Camryn), Anthony Bruni. Great-grandmother of 20. Dear sister of Mary Armstrong. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Mary (Davis) & Bill Chorney, siblings Lena Davis, Marie Black (Frank), John Davis (Ann), Ben Davis (Shirley), Marjorie Menear (Bill) and son-in-law Steve Podolinsky. Lillian worked as Credit Manager at the Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto for 42 years. Retiring in 1993, Lillian and Chris moved to Sarnia. She enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Red Hat Society. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff and volunteers at St. Joseph's Hospice for their compassionate care of Lillian. Cremation has taken place.
