Obituary of David Raymond Morrison

MORRISON, David Raymond – Peacefully at Bluewater Health Hospital on Sunday, August 23, 2009, at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Carolyn. Loving father of Brian, Lori, Keith and predeceased by William Dale. Beloved step-father of Murray, Stacey and Shari. Father-in-law of Cheryl, Dorothy, Sue, Kim, Michael and Robert. He will be sadly missed by 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Dear brother of John, Willa Jean, Bob and Bonnie. Dave’s life was one of helping others. With years of experience and dedication to the automobile industry, in 1998 he realized his dream of opening a new dealership on Lambton Mall Road – Sun Valley Chrysler. When he retired in 2001 he faced retirement with the same enthusiasm that he put into the automobile industry. One of the highlights of his life was going to Dubai to take part in the opening of a car dealership in Abu Dhabi. He was on the board of directors for Teakwood Village, Largo, Florida where he lived for 7 years and made many long lasting friendships. The family is so grateful to Dr. William Doyle, Dr. R. Syan and Dr. Lori Kolano. The Palliative Care team was so incredibly kind and caring they will always be remembered. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Dave’s life will be held in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 2 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 714 Lite St. Pt.
