Obituary of Marjorie Louise Hunter
HUNTER, Marjorie Louise (Ward)(Armitage) – After a long, courageous, brave battle with cancer and a broken heart with the unexpected passing of her beloved husband Charlie, we are very saddened to announce the peaceful passing of our mother and best friend Marjorie Louise Hunter at the age 67 at Bluewater Health – Palliative Care on Sunday, July 5, 2009, surrounded by her family. Loving wife and best friend of the late Charles. Devoted mom of Lea Ann McQueen & her husband Scott, Sarnia and Dawn Chafe & her husband Rob, Sarnia. Best grandma to Kyle, Kirstie, Sarah and Amanda. Step-mother of Vikki McKinlay & her husband Chris, Corunna. Best friend and loving sister of Harvey & Helen Blais, Sarnia, Kathleen & Peter Glaab, Sarnia, Virginia McGill, Sarnia and Don & Anne Ward, Seattle. Sister-in-law of Irene Hunter, Myrtle Beach. Also surviving are several nieces & nephews. Predeceased by her parents Joe & Agnes Ward, sister Marilyn Johnson, niece Deborah Ward, brothers-in-law Lorne McGill, Bruce Johnson and Warren & Bill Hunter, sister-in-law Marilyn Hunter and mother & father-in-law Vilma & Archie Hunter. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Terence Runstedler at St. Benedict’s Church on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
