Obituary of Ivan Bayduk

Bayduk, Ivan Joseph - Beloved husband of Mary of Calgary, passed away on May 26, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 84 years. Ivan was born in Sarnia, ON, January 8, 1925 and on June 8, 1946, he married Mary. Ivan served with the Navy during World War II. He then received his Bachelor of Science (Mechanical Engineering) from Queen’s University in 1951, and was employed with Imperial Oil for over 30 years until his retirement in 1981. Besides his loving wife Mary, he is also survived by his children, Larry and Cameron; daughter-in-law Barb; three grandchildren, Leslie, Erin and Christopher; five great grandchildren, Cole, Meika, Aiden, Sarah and Owen and his brother, Edward (Jean). Ivan was predeceased by his son David. Friends are welcome to join in a graveside committal service at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2009. Arrangements are entrusted to McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 519-344-3131. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may forward memorial donations to the Salvation Army, 970 Confederation St., Sarnia N7S 1A1.
