Obituary of Alice Taylor
TAYLOR, Alice Beulah (Fulcher) - At Vision Nursing Home after a long battle with Alzheimer’s, she is at peace with her beloved husband Bert. Born June 28, 1916 in Sarnia, the daughter of the late George & Beulah Fulcher, she grew up with and outlived six sisters and two brothers. Alice married Bert Taylor on June 16, 1937 and was the proud mother of Nancy (Don) Dease, Carol (Fred) Chambers, James "Jim" Taylor and Murray Taylor. She had 7 grandchildren, Karen Boden, Marc (Karen) Dease, Kristi (Bob) Waluchow, Lynn (Bill) Hyatt, Charlotte (Allan) Cooper, Gregory (Heather) Taylor and Bradley (Debra) Taylor. Alice was also blessed with 14 great-grandchildren, Carleigh, Craig, Brock, Danielle, Kaitlyn, Ian, Ryan, Chantel (Steve), Michael, Casandra, Nicholas, Owen, Katie and Mackenzie; and great-great-grandmother of Charlie and Logan. Predeceased by her husband Bert (2006) and her grandson Bruce Dease (1958). Alice was a faithful member of Delta Chi Sigma Soroity, Devine Street United Church and Point Edward United Church. She enjoyed her family and many friends here in Sarnia as well as in Florida where she and Bert spent their winters. Visitation will be held at Point Edward United Church on Friday from 10:30 until 11 a.m. The funeral service will be held in the church at 11 a.m. A private family interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery at a later date. A tree will be planted in memory of Alice Taylor in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest. Dedication service Sunday, September 20th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area.
