Obituary of Edward Clayton Bowers

BOWERS, EDWARD CLAYTON (TED) – At Bluewater Health, Palliative Care on Sunday, February 15, 2009 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Olive (Kneeshaw-Monk). Loving father of Michael Bowers, Kitchener and Mary (Dan) Stark, Stratford. Proud grandfather of Mark and Jeffrey Stark. Dear step-father of Melanie Evers (Mike Kohut), the late Debra Lebrasceur (Dan), Jamie Nichols (late Wayne), Darcy Parr (Eric Kirkman) and Wes Monk. Predeceased by 1st wife Betty-Jean (Kennedy), parents Edward & Mamie Bowers, son Mark, daughter Monica and brothers William and Gordon. Ted served with the Royal Canadian Regiment during W.W.II and retired from Corrections Canada (Ottawa). A great joy in Ted’s life was spending time in his garden. At Ted’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will take place at a later date at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Goderich. A tree will be planted in memory of Ted Bowers in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest. Dedication service Sunday, September 20th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area.
