Obituary of Paul Walter Wayvon

WAYVON, Paul – Passed away peacefully with his daughter at his side at Afton Park Place, Sarnia, on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at the age of 81. Paul joins his wife Mary of 54 years who predeceased him only 6 weeks ago on December 31, 2008. Loving father of Joan (Mike) Hill, Paul (Rosemary Power) Wayvon and Stephen Wayvon (Nancy McMahon). His grandchildren were the love of his life. Special Dido of Christopher (Kelly), Earl, Floyd, Joseph, Jack and Allison. He will be deeply missed by his lifelong friends from South Windsor with whom he had many great times. Paul will also be missed by all the special friends he made during his years at Afton Park Place. Paul worked over 40 years in the automotive industry, most at Ford Motor Company in Utica, Michigan as a general foreman until his retirement in 1990. He was an active member of the churches where he worshipped throughout his life, St. Vladimir & Olga Church and Christ the King Church in Windsor. Thanks to all the wonderful staff at Afton Park Place, and to Dr. William O’Mahony for all your kind and loving care you gave Dad during the past 5 years. Special thanks to Fr. Edward Yarema for all your regular visits. In keeping with Paul’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service for both Mary & Paul will take place in Windsor at a later date. A tree will be planted in memory of Paul Wayvon in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest. Dedication service Sunday, September 20th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area.
