Obituary of Jack Atkinson

ATKINSON, John “Jack” Hodgson – Peacefully, with his daughters by his side, Jack died at home on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at the age of 74. Loving father of Heather Preddie and husband Russell, Cambridge and Lynette Chesson, London, England. Loved grandfather of Natalie, Michela, Alexander, Sam, Millie and Annabel. Dear brother of Mary Stafford, Whitehaven, England. Beloved husband of the late Margaret (2001) and companion to Helen Campbell. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who loved him. Jack volunteered with the Sarnia Victims Services and was a member of the Navy Club and the Salvation Army. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, Sunday, January 25th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral service will be held at the Salvation Army Citadel with Major Rick Pollard officiating on Monday, January 26th at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 118 Victoria St. N, Sarnia N7T 5W9 or the Salvation Army, 970 Confederation St., Sarnia N7S 1A1.
