Obituary of Jozef Goertz

GOERTZ, Jozef Hubert – At his residence surrounded by his family on Saturday, January 3rd, 2009 at the age of 64. Beloved husband of Wilma (nee VanBommel) for 40 years. Loving father of Shirley & her husband Patrick Olney of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Steven & his wife Susan of Mississauga, Kevin & his wife Nicola of Waterloo, Randy & his wife Tina of Corunna and Terry & his wife Deanne of Wellesley. Proud Popa of 10 grandchildren. Survived by brothers John, Peter, Ben, Henk and Tony and sisters Mary Sleegers, Anna Wilds and Elizabeth Boere. Predeceased by parents Harry & Rika Goertz and brother Pietje (1941). Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Matthew Bedard at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 7th, 2009 at 10 a.m. Interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
