Obituary of Mary Lou Bernardo

BERNARDO, Mary Louise “Mary Lou” – At her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at the age 67. Beloved wife of Gerry of 46 years. Loving mother of Nancy Stewardson (Tom), Jerry (Christine), Michael (Meriç) and Brenda Pearson (Dave). Proud grandmother of Adam, Josh, Luke, Melissa, Zack, Kyle, Troy and Jack. Dear sister of Joan Koshuta, Barbara McManus, Nora Shanahan, Margaret Millar and Deborah MacLeod and sister-in-laws Bernardine Bernardo and Helen Raby. Survived also by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents John & Nora Messeroll, by her beloved niece Laura and in-laws Eleanor, Isabelle, James, Philip, Albert and Victor. Mary Lou was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be sadly missed. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jim Higgins at St. Benedict’s Church on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at 11 a.m. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
