Obituary of Mathew Walter Henne

HENNE - MATHEW, age 12, passed away suddenly at home on Sunday, November 30, 2008. Cherished son of Markus & the late Joerika (Vandermark)(2004). Dear brother of Marika, Chase, Mason and the late Merrik. Grandson of Wally & Elly Henne, Sarnia and Martin Vandermark, London and the late Gonda Vandermark. Great-grandson of Ines Nussbaumer, Switzerland. Nephew of Dan Henne, Calgary, Francis Henne, Calgary, Soraya Phaneuf & Gates, St. Thomas, Priscilla MacDonald & Steve, London, Peter Vandermark & Lisa, London, and Saskia Vandermark, London. Also surviving are many cousins, and family and friends in Canada, Germany, Switzerland and Holland. Mathew was a Grade 7 student at London Road School and a member of the 23rd St. Bartholomew’s Scout Troop. Visitation at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Mathew’s life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Roger Ellis officiating. Interment Lakeview Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to Scouts Canada for the 23rd Sarnia Scout Troop, Tri-Shores Council, 531 Windemere Road, London, ON N5X 2T1. A tree will be planted in memory of Mathew Henne in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest. Dedication service Sunday, September 20th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area.
